Etang de Mont

Right in the middle of the beautiful Allier region, one of the least populated and most natural parts of France. A scenery in which time seems to have stood still and castles look out over large fields and forests. Unique about this lake is the large amount of fresh water running in the lake from the stream, on average the complete water surface has refreshed itself every 10 days. This is a large advantage for a good growth of the carp and to maintain a constant oxygen level.

La Loubière Carp Lake

La Loubiere is a 37 acre lake in central France with an incredible stock of huge carp up to 74lbs and an average size of over 35lbs. The lake is approximately 6 hours drive from Calais and can be fished by up to 11 anglers.

The current stock is around 650 carp with the lake record being a huge mirror of 74lb 4oz. The average size is 35lb. There are 6 carp over 60lb, over 20 carp over 50lb and over 50 carp over 40lb. To keep weeds at bay, there are 60 grass carp between 15 and 55 pounds.

When the carp are on the bait, the action can be quite prolific with some weeks producing over 100 carp.

There are showers, washbasins and toilets on site, as well as fridges, freezers and electrical sockets for recharging phones and bait boats.

The lake is fed by the River Loubiere, which provides an important supply of oxygen. There is a good quantity of natural elements in the lake, such as blood and freshwater mussels, which has created an optimal environment for the growth of very large carp. The bottom of the lake is mainly silt and sand. Rowing boats, motors, batteries and sonar are available for hire to help you locate likely feeding areas.

Etang des Gaulois

Etang des Gaulois is a gorgeous getaway of 70-acre tucked away in the Morvan French National Park, a dream destination for every carp angler. The lake spans a total of 150 private acres with a view of Mont de Beuvray. Gaulois currently holds 6 carp above 65lb (the largest weighing in at 82lb), 150 carp above 45lb, and approximately 1000 carp in total. It is the perfect location for those seeking opportunities for action and an impressive catch. There are facilities available to the guests, as well as the option of delicious meals specially prepared and delivered to the swims.
